SBAT - School Based Traineeships in Melbourne Western Suburbs & Geelong
The Service Crew:
Hospitality Training in Melbourne Western Suburbs and Geelong
The Service Crew facilitates a school-based traineeship allowing students to combine their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) with an average of 7 hours a week of paid work. Work placement times are scheduled around school timetables and industry requirements.
Students are also released from their school timetable one afternoon each week to attend a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) where they complete their formal training.
Successful completion of the traineeship also results in students receiving credits towards their VCE or VCAL. In addition, they gain a nationally recognised qualification and valuable industry experience.
“The Service Crew offered a good balance between working and completing my VCE, allowing me to satisfy school outcomes as well as gain experience in hospitality at the same time”
"Completing this hospitality traineeship has greatly alleviated stress associated with year 12, whilst also given me the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a hospitality workplace."
"Completing my Certificate III has been a wonderful experience in year 11 as it has lead me to continue with my year 12 while getting my Diploma, thanks to the Service Crew."
